    Husbands traveling with...

I have read a few posts stating your husbands travel with you. Do they also work in the areas that you are working?

    Re: Husbands traveling with...

With the amount of time I have spent with travel nurses and in this industry, I have met a large number of nurses that travel with their spouse. The majority of them that travel around do find some sort of work in the area the nurse is working in. Some have found areas they love, and jobs that pay, and have decided to stay in that area. Some have found jobs such as a painter, security guard, and even some found office jobs for the duration of the contract. It is easy to find work in a majority of the areas you travel in. The only places it may be difficult to find jobs for your spouse is in a smaller community, that is off by itself.

This is what I have experienced with all of the nurse I know of.

My husband has been traveling with me and does not work because that is what we didnt want him to have to switch jobs every 3months like me. He is a great house husband. But we my next assignment he is going to look for a job just to get out of the house.
