hi i've just past my nclex..thinking of endorsing into 1) new york state and 2) one of the compact states...i'd like to do some travel nursing and wondering if anyone knows if there are opps to travel to one of the niagara falls hospitals...do they need/take travel nurses regularly. that would be a great experience to try it there before going to somewhere really far from home. wondering about rate of pay, housing, etc...

Well, western NY does use travelers on and off, in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and a few other places. Not sure about pay. I recommend you check the travel jobs of a few companies,
RN Network, Cross Country, Clinical One, Medical Solutions.
this will give you an idea of what is availabel. I don't see that area posted right now, but, than can change overnight.
You have to have a least 1 year experience to travel and some places want a few years.
