Hi, I am considering becoming a nurse but I will be 54 this month. It will take me 3 1/2 to 4 years to be an RN. I am really concerned about my age and the money it will cost to do this. I really like the idea of being a traveling nurse since it's just my husband(disabled with back & COPD) and myself. Retirement with lots of money would be best but I don't see that as realistic. I work at a bank now and have for 35 years and my boss says he thinks this is a good idea. Who knows what will happen when he retires. He's 78 now so I am trying to plan for the future. I need advice. Thanks.
