San Francisco Travel

Hi all!

My sister lives in San Francisco and I am thinking about a travel assignment there. This is the first time using the discussion forum so any information about travel companies, hospitals in the bay area and even housing would be great! I will be traveling with my husband and two children so not sure if I should find my own housing or let them put me up. I'm scared they will house us in the tenderloin...YIKES! I also wanted to know if anyone knew of pay scale and housing stipend range. I'm trying to find out if it would be worth going. Great opportunity...YES but is it worth it paying a mortgage here in Texas while I'm on assignment in CA. Thanks in advance for the info.

:60: Welcome to the site. Your best bet for info and assistance in SF is your sister. She can do some legwork for you concerning housing and could probably make some phone calls to local employers to find out some info regarding travel assignments. Also make sure to ask lots of questions from your travel rep. They should be able to give you any info you need to know (with a spin, of course, but still good basic info). Hope you enjoy your assignment there.
