    Re: curriculum guideline

I am my second year as a nursing educator. Here are a few things I found useful.
    1) Keep a couple of NCLEX review books as resources (Sounders is good).
    2) The National Council of State Boards of Nursing also provides courses on question writing.
    3) Many of your texts will have test banks. Be cautious with these sometimes they may not be at the level you need for your students.

Most of all find a mentor among the faculty. They can give you feedback and support when students argue because the questions are too hard (i.e. higher than knowledge or comprehension). Trust your judgement, students complained constantly last year after my med-surg tests but then came back after the NCLEX and said thanks for the prep. I wish you great success.
