The Western Carolina University School of Nursing is hosting an open house 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Jan. 30 in the Haynes Center at the Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College Enka Campus.

All Asheville-based WCU nursing programs will be highlighted including RN to BSN/MS, accelerated BSN, AB Tech/WCU RIBN program, MS in Nursing Administration, MS in Nurse Anesthesia, MS in Nurse Educator, and MS in Family Nurse Practitioner.

Faculty and staff will be available to offer one-on-one advising, financial aid information and program details.

Haven't noticed open houses at nursing schools in my neck of the woods. Suppose they don't see the need for it.

I think open houses are a good way for people to get a feel for a program and to have a lot of their questions answered without having to bug people on the phone.
