Can CNA work as HHA in New York state?

I have a quick question.

Can CNA work as HHA in New York state?

A quick call to the state certifying authority or a check on their website would provide the answer. In my state, many times CNAs are hired for HHA jobs. It is usually stated in the job announcement whether CNA is acceptable.
