    Travel to San Diego

I accepted an assignment in San Diego just as the fires were getting underway. I'm scheduled to begin mid-November. I was wondering how fellow travellers already in San Diego were dealing with the situation.

I actually just talked to a couple of friends of mine is San Diego, one who is a nurse. Both said it was a little scary for a little while, but has calmed down where they were. Said there was a lot of smoke, and ash is still blowing around, but it is getting better. Good Luck in San Diego. It is one my favorite places to be.

Well I was just listening to the radio, and they mentioned the fires there. Winds were picking and spreading part of the fire a little. I don't know that there is anything you can prepare for. If you are not starting until mid-Nov, I really wouldn't worry about it. Things will be under control by then. At least I think they will be. But then again, I don't know much about fires. I think you need to prepare for fun in the sun.
