    getting started

I REALLY want to find something nursing-wise that will interest me that I can do on my own without having to work in hospitals anymore. Am currently doing travel assignments locally. I have 25 years adult nursing experience, mainly in hospitals and a brief stint doing utilization review/quality assurance. I do not have a BSN. I went to a three year hospital based program way back when. Still, I have broad experience in all areas of hospital nursing. What's the best route for this?

Sheesh smbrn you don't have to be a BSN to branch out into something different with experience like yours! There are all sorts of things you could do! Mainly it depends on what interests you though. You could easily qualify for a job as director of clinical services for a home health company, do case management or utilization review for insurance companies, start your own nursing agency, or become a legal nurse consultant.....
