Three University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire undergraduate nursing students were elected to the Wisconsin Student Nurses Association board at the WSNA convention Feb. 7 in Wisconsin Dells.

Senior Maggie Wolf, Minnetonka, Minn., was elected president of WSNA. She is the former editor of STAT, the organization's newsletter. Wolf said one of her goals is to strengthen the bond between WSNA and the Wisconsin Nurses Association.

Senior Sarah Johnson, South Range, was elected executive vice president. She will help with planning next year's convention and the WNA/WSNA annual meeting and conference in October.

Sophomore Stephanie Dworak, Athens, was elected western regional director. Stephanie is just beginning the nursing courses held at UW-Eau Claire's Marshfield site.

The UW-Eau Claire department of nursing offers bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing, a doctor of nursing practice degree, and continuing education programs for practicing nurses. Courses are taught on the Eau Claire campus and in Marshfield through a cooperative relationship with Saint Joseph's Hospital.

The Wisconsin Student Nurses Association, established in 1949, is a nonprofit organization for students enrolled in accredited nursing programs in the state of Wisconsin.
