Goat attacks Chinese nursing home gardeners

This just got my goat! It happened in Australia. Goat attacks Chinese nursing home gardeners

A rampaging goat has injured three people in an unprovoked attack at a Chinese nursing home east of Melbourne.

Paramedics treated three people, including two gardeners, at the On Luck Chinese nursing home on Tindals Road, Donvale, about 11am today after Billy the goat called in from next door.

Seven-year-old Billy left a chaotic scene, intensive care paramedic David Kervin said.

"We know that goats are quite territorial and these people were out in the paddock tending to some plants ... and that the goat sort of attacked them with no notice at all," Mr Kervin said.

"They sustained head injuries and lower leg injuries and some spinal injuries...

"One gentleman, while fleeing, tripped and hit his head as well.

"It was actually quite lucky there wasn't more serious injuries given that the goat had six-inch horns."

Police subdued Billy soon after the attack.

A 64-year-old man with head injuries and a 33-year-old woman with an ankle injury - believed to be Billy's owner - were taken to Box Hill Hospital, both in a stable condition.

A 70-year-old man was taken to Maroondah Hospital with head injuries, and was also in a stable condition.

No nursing home residents were injured in the attack.

I was actually raised on a goat ranch - and I can tell you that goats are tough animals. My neighbor's goat killed a small pony. I believe it 100%

    Peace and namaste
