My sister has two apartments for rent in Santa Ynez CA. One two bedroom, One one bedroom - nice quiet great for a day sleeper but also reasonably close to Santa Barbara for night life. She allows pets and kids - schools are good. She would probably do something short term for a traveler just to keep them rented.
