Occ Health back to ER, no jobs?????

Hi All,
I have been working ER for the better part of 30 years, full and part time. I've spent the last two years working Occupational Health exclusively. I want to get into travel nursing, (ER), and bought a 5th wheel trailer and truck to do this with. Now I am hearing from recruiters that they won't even submit my name because of a 2 years lapse from prior ER jobs, saying this is a JACHO regulation. Is this for real or what? I have kept my certifications current, and my nursing license is from a compact state. Any advise???/suggestions???? Thanks!! Judy

Try a few other companies. BUT, every company I talk to say you must have recent experience in that field, ie ER Med surg etc.
I had a lapse too, so, I took a hospital job and in 9 months I got my 1st travel assignment. You may have to do that.
