Hello. I am a pediatric nurse who has been in this specialty for over 12 years now. I seem to have come to a stand still in my career and am not really feeling burned out- I love being a nurse- just not feeling as excited about what I am doing lately. I have recently tried to change things up a little and have jumped around to different positions to attempt to spark some new interests. Lately, I still feel kind of stuck. Not sure what to do at this point. Anyone have any suggestions?

:60: Welcome to the site. If you were to change specialties, you would have to perk up while in the learning process. Maybe that would do the trick. Or, just changing employers. Maybe something as subtle as a change in shifts. Try the opposite shift for a change of pace. Good luck.
Thanks so much for the advice. I will definately consider it! I am finding this site very helpful! I enjoy reading about the issues my fellow nurses are dealing with. My situation does not seem so hopeless these days. Are most of you travelers?
Some are, some aren't, pedsnurse. We don't discriminate.... :)
