Yep, it's Wednesday. It started off good, too; had to wait for the 'Net to get fixed due to the recent storms. Of course, the weekend forecast is sayin 90's and humid. Really nice, eh? One extreme to the other. How's things going elsewhere?
Speaking of Chef's, etc.... I have a post or two up re: quick meals for us nurses, and I think there's ones re: recipes. What the heck! Why not share a few of your favorite things with us? I am always open to new suggestions.
I do a lot of quick stuff and prefer fresh ingredients ( can stand stuff out of boxes and cans - Lately it's not to exciting with budget constraints and all but I'll try to put up the recipe for Bachelor Chicken in the next few days.
Plus I like to crock -up chicken, pork or beef when low cost cuts are on sale them pull (Shred them and freeze) then you just take out what you need and walla - quckie start for Taco's, Pita's etc.....
Peace and namaste

You guys are making me hungry! Time to get some brunch!
Hamburger Helper goes over well here. The off brand Zatarain's goes well, also. Chopping and slicing too much of a hasle at times.
There was one Hamburger Helper variety that I used to love and would swear it tasted as good as homemade. Haven't got HH in a long time. Need to revisit it.
Before there was Hamburger Helper my mom would take a pound of Hamburger, a cup of rice, A box of frozen vegetables, onion, garlic and cumin and two cups of water stir it all together and cook it until the water was gone. She called it Spanish Rice and it was pretty good. Fed the whole family of 7 for about 3 bucks back in the day.

Our Spanish Rice differed a bit from yours. Maybe I should make some soon.
