Hey Everyone!! I thought I would just introduce myself real quick. My name is Heather, I'm 23, and I live in Springfield, MO (for now). Since I was 9 I knew I was going to go into medicine since I was 9. My mom developed stage 4 nonhodgkins lymphoma when I was 9 and she has had non-stop since. The doctors told her she wasn't going survive (it's now been 15 years cancer free) so I decided I was going become a doctor and save my mommy's life. Well the dream stuck but as I grew older I realized I didn't want to be a doctor but a nurse so I could really impact and change peoples lives. So here I am. I'm currently a sophomore in college getting ready to begin clinicals. Hopefully I'll be graduated by 2012, fingers and toes are crossed and double crossed. My dream is to work at St Judes or in NICU (definitely peds). I was a CNA working with stroke and neuro patients and I loved in but I injured myself and them joined the Army until I got medically discharged so now I'm just working on school and focusing on having my dream come true.
