New User Seeks Epilepsy Resources

Hi Folks, I'm an RN who is also an Epileptic, having run across some severe discrimmination since nursing school days and following me into my career I am seeking any resources or other nurses who also suffer this disability and hopefully can share some coping skills. Thanx

Thanks for joining. I don't have any answers for you regarding nurses with epilepsy but hopefully someone else will be able to help. There are tons of nursing resources out there related to epilepsy but it appears all of them are geared toward a nurses care for epileptic patients rather than as epileptics themselves.

I haven't met one person with epilepsy who has been satisfied with their ability to navigate life without obstacles being placed in their path. I am sorry but I can not personally think of anything to help you. But I do want to welcome you to the site and hope someone reading this thread can offer some advice. Remember you can always come here to vent when you need to. Best wishes.
