Anyone know anything more about this? http://www.whiotv.com/news/24456694/detail.html

A state investigation found that Miami Jacobs College did not meet minimum qualifications and promises from the school to meet standards, did not satisfy the State Board of Nursing in Columbus.

One local lawmaker has been leading the drive to help the students.

Rep. Clayton Luckie said, "This school has been warned on several occasions of not following the rules and regulations and have not done it. So I support the Nursing Board on their decision for the better care of individuals. Once students leave, they're not prepared, so I agree with the results.

The board has been authorized to deny full approval and withdraw conditional approval of the nursing program. Officials said they found curriculum and policy standards were not met and there were unqualified administrators and faculty at work in the program.

The school has not addressed the findings, but will have the chance to get a full hearing before the board.

Rep. Luckie welcomes the full hearing. "I support the Nursing Board one hundred percent. I've been in conversation with the board on a weekly basis. They have a lot of concerns."

In all likelihood, the school will request that hearing before the board. <!--stopindex-->
