After two years of hitting the books and hands on training, students were honored with a pinning ceremony to celebrate their new role as nurses. Two separate ceremonies were held. For one student, Wednesday’s ceremony was especially memorable.

“Last thanksgiving I learned I had a very aggressive breast cancer...I just kept going, I didn't let it slow me down. I gave it no energy I just kept going and did what I had to do," said Shawn Limpert.
