Northern Essex Community College will celebrate its nursing program's 40th anniversary with a reunion on Thursday, Sept. 23. All nursing and practical nursing graduates are invited to attend, as well as faculty and staff from the program.
The event will take place in the Technology Center on the college's Haverhill Campus.

The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the reunion will begin at 6 p.m. with a welcome from college President David Hartleb.

The cost of $25 includes a catered buffet dinner and a presentation titled Hot Topics in Nursing Practice by Dr. Margaret Fitzgerald, '70, of Fitzgerald Health Education Associates. Continuing education credits are available for the presentation.

Libby Jensen, the college's alumni director, is hoping to honor all graduates of the first class, which graduated in 1970, at the reunion. So far, she has located all but five members of the class of 26 graduates

"The graduates are really excited we're doing this," Jensen said. "They are looking forward to seeing their classmates and others whom they haven't seen in a long time. We had a very successful nursing reunion in 2004 and we hope to build on that success."

To attend, send a check, payable to the NECC Foundation Inc., with nursing reunion on the memo line, to Libby Jensen, Northern Essex Community College, 100 Elliott St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
