Hello! I'm Shelley and an almost nurse---just 3 weeks until graduation! Prior to returning to school, I was a seasoned management professional, serving as Operations Manager for several outpatient medical practices. I knew that the outpatient world has a great deal of untapped potential but, without any clinical credentials, I wasn't able to do everything that I wanted to do. So, I bit the bullet, quit my job (with the blessings of my hubby, of course!) and went back to school full time. Now, I am just moments away from realizing my dream! I will be receiving my masters degree, but it will be as a new RN. As part of my masters requirements, we had to conduct research (as most of you have likely experienced). My area of interest is outpatient care, so what better way to channel my interest than to research it! I will have my invitation to participate in my study on other forums in this site, so I hope you can show your support! Thanks! Go Cubs!

Welcome to Ultimatenurse, Shell! Good luck with your Masters!

I sorta said forget it, and am staying at a BSN. Bad enough I had Research; didn't want to deal with Stats. (Hey, got a B in Research....)

Hope you stop by often after graduation. I am sure your outlook on things will be appreciated. Have you got a job lined up after Graduation?

Welcome to the site from an SXU grad!

I, too, am like Cat. Dealt with Research--teacher was a fill-in; original professor was on a working leave for a project. Stats? Hmmmph! HS Algebra teacher warped me for life.

Would you accept ALF workers for your research?

I also hope you'll stop by as often as you can. As you said there is untapped potential. :p:
