Mornin', all; don't know if I should be thrilled or what. It feels more like a Monday, for what it's worth. Just think: Only 49 days until the Year 2011

There were clouds earlier, and things have lightened up, but the bones are telling me we got some damp stuff close by. 'Tis the season, eh?

Some trivia: Aspirin went on sale as the first pharmaceutical drug in 1899, after Felix Hoffman, a German chemist at the drug company Bayer, successfully modified Salicylic Acid, a compound found in willow bark to produce Aspirin.

And to think, we made salicylic acid in one of my chem labs in school. That is really the only experiment I remember much about, because it was aspirin. It is supposed to be 80 here today. Nice and sunny out there now.

They say if aspirin were introduced today it would be a precription drug with all kids of warnings and such.

I'm off and the phone goes off in an hour and a half. Then the dogs go up and it's relax time except for all the cub scout activity this weekend.

Have a good weekend all

Peace and namaste

I want to go to sleep; then again, I am going to keep myself up. Dinner is postponed, as husband is working over. No biggie, dinner being on hold. Husband working over is ok, also. He does a great job, and the others at work know it.

As for ASA being a prescription drug if intro'd now.....well, we would all become chemists then! The Native Americans knew how to 'distill' the stuff, why couldn't we learn?
