I'm assuming you are referring to allnurses.com?

I don't have a problem with them doing that. We don't own the rights to discussion about nurses in recovery and if someone can get help there, then I am happy that they will have found a place where they can go to get the support they need.

Just my .02 on that part. :p

Hey, Boss!

Yeah, I was refering to 'them'. The big thing is that AN's owner believes HIS site is 'the only one', and that we are infringing on 'his' territory. He'd be having fits and threatening all sorts of hell if 'we' were to 'copy' from him, as he thinks he 'owns' the rights to coming up with nursing Forums.

Honestly, our Forum is much better. :p

...and to add my two cents (or so), there is absolutely NO venue to disagree with them or appeal a decision that you don't understand.

I tried to comment on one of his You Tubes (and by "he" I mean the guy who started AN) and discovered that my comment was blocked...SPECIFICALLY blocked.

And all I asked was..."How many of those members you list are actually banned but still hanging on your list in order to boost your numbers...Your response Brian...?"

I know that they inflate their numbers. I for one still get their e-magazine...like I am gonna read it!

I paid 25 bucks to join the level of "LinkedIn" where you can message anyone you want...seriously I thought there must have been a mistake in banning me...and that the leader of this giant blog would listen to my tale of woe...but after my 25 bucks was gone the reply was, "Brian Short does not accept private messages." I wonder why that is? I wonder who he doesn't want to hear from?

And the reason I was banned?...I still don't freaking know!

:evillaugh:Well, thanks for the ULTIMATENURSE. I just refused to ever lurk over there. I wanted no connection to them. And thanks for free enterprise, freedom of choice. I did not find that on AN. We are better off. Sorry for the nurses who posted there and was repremanded.

Thanks, Sassy! We appreciate your being here. You wouldn't believe the number of people we have here that used to be there.

I thank Aaron C., the site's owner/head honcho for starting the site.

With your help and everyone elses help, we will overcome BS and Co.!

I had been on their site for several years, then got lifetime banned. But I look at all the good nurses who were there when I started and they got banned also for being to outspoken. So no problem. Happy I am here

Hey, Tom! It's been a while, eh? So glad you are here!

Never got banned myself, only demoted QUITE unceremoniously by BS, and for no real reason. Had just talked to Siri-kins earlier in evening, and she gave no indication of what was going down.

There are quite a few people that have been banned there, but you wouldn't know it from looking at their profiles. They should have a seperate count for people who have been banned.

I have a confession to make. Although my own IP is prohibited from joining the site, I do register when I am away from home. It is my practice to write an outrageously ridiculous and naive post, just to sit back and watch the responses. Sometimes I can't believe that people would even respond to the posts let alone seriously address the issue presented within.

I am a naughty naughty girl. On my own site (which started as BannedfromAllnurses.com but was later changed to another name as we expanded to other funny topics), one of the forums is specially made to present some of the, uhm, less than intellectual posts...and my members and I get to respond to them as we please without being banned. It's a lot of fun! I would not advertise the new site here out of respect for Miss Cougarnurse.

Yeah, it is unbelievable. However, I see it as their loss, our gain.

Tom has had quite a few (!) good thoughts and insights, and I always look forward to his postings.
