Home Health Nursing Pay?

I was told by a few nurses here in St. Louis that they made $45 per visit (RN).

I have always been interested in community based work and would love to do this but want to make sure it is profitable. Any feedback? Are there usually enough patients/visits to make a decent living?

I don't know about home health per se and I imagine the rate of pay depends largly on geographic location. I work in a sort of home care in that I work for a company that has groups homes and I am incharge of the care of 36 adult residients. I get paid a fixed salary which is fair. I am required to spend at least a hour a wek with each resident - sometimes itt's more but never less.

Hope this helps

I did HHC at one time, and yes, you can make some money--of course, if you find a good client/agency, etc. sometimes you may have one visit a week per client, but 3 clients a week, or in my case, one client 5 days a week.

Keep us posted how things go!
