I posted the article while thinking of you, hppy. Seems like others feel nearly the same way as you.
If we really want to fix healthcare - we need to legislate for strict tort reform to discourage frivolous lawsuits which drive of the cost of health care by driving up the cost of medical malpractice insurance. Also such lawsuits make lawyers like John Edwards rich who is wealthier than many evil corporate republicans and made is money suing doctor's. Many fine physicians are leaving medicine because they can't afford the malpractice insurance. Then we need to get Medicare and medical to stop cutting reimbursement rates. I anesthesiologist I know told me he currently get $8.00 (total) from medicaide to do an Epidural on a woman in labor. That doesn't even cover the cost of the gas in his tank to get to the hospital.
