News from the Wonderful World of Health Care Reform

So yesturday I get a call from the lab stating that Medicare will no longer cover routine Cholesterol and lipid screening unless the Patient has had a coronary infarct, Aneurysm or occlusion. So screening for risk factors is out the window. When I asked the billing office at the lab why this was happening she told be that there were many cuts to Medicare inder the provisions set forth by the new Health Care Reform.

Isn't the future grand. Does anyone remember when Obama said in a speech that too much money was being wasted on tests and screening when maybe only a pain pill was needed for the problem. Well folks we are seeing that mindset in action now.

I really do need to win the Lottery and start my own small country on an Island somewhere

To be honest, I think that 'they' are trying to kill the older folks off. And wasn't there always talk about screening before this, how important it is?

PLEASE watch Soylant Green. I saw it as a kid, and it made an impresson on me.
