Good Morning everyone.

I missed being here. How is everyone and how are things with you?

I am pondering wether or not to continue in the nursing field. I love nursing but all it entails, sometimes, to get ahead on a job, I will not do. Period.

We missed you, too, Grandma! At least I know I did.

I know what you mean about the job bit. I will now speak up on what has happened to me in the past:

Having had a place of employment where staff turn over is incredibly high. RA's can be certified aids or not. The shift's Lead Aid had been NON-certified more often then not......
and the aids that get put on Employee of Month either are the slackers, or the ones that DO work their butts off get terminated within 2 months of getting the accolades.

I could go on, but will save the rant for the Rubber Room.

I am soooo glad you are back, as you do have good insight into things. We need that. What have you been doing lately?

I've been very busy this week getting medical consults for two of my consumers - PLus the human rights committee meets this month and we go over all the rights of the individuals that we searve. Check their meds and living situations. The big issue is our new Governor wants to cut over $700 million dollars for the funding for services to developmentally disabled persons. It's going to get really ugly out here.

It's been a day so far. Am about ready to close up shop, reel it in, and say Phooey. Ears are now bothering me, thanks to the influx of warm weather.


Here's a smilie (of sorts) for you, Hppy I start to worry and panic when there's no sign of folks for a bit.

I was doing several things at once when Grandma posted, and of course, I have a beef with the former job. That whole situation still rankles major-like.
