But how much will they have to pay for it, and will they get to keep it after graduation?! http://www.wsmv.com/education/26949770/detail.html

Nursing students at Cumberland University will get a high-tech accessory when they start school in the fall -- an iPad.

The Lebanon college is giving all full-time freshmen accepted into the program an iPad that they can use at school and home.

The school hopes the tablet computer will enhance the classroom experience and help students integrate technology into their learning.

The way I understand it - the schools basically eat the cost of the computers which they get for practically nothing from the manufacturer. The computers are actualy used as a lure to bring in students.

I remember another post that mentioned the students had to give the dang things back. Too much relying on tech stuff; when batteries go down, what are you gonna do?
