The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN®) (www.ncsbn.org) Board of Directors announced new appointments to fill vacancies on the board created by the resignation of Treasurer Randall Hudspeth, MS, APRN-CNS/NP, FRE, FAANP, board member, Idaho Board of Nursing.

The new appointments are:

  • Area III Director Julia George, MSN, RN, FRE, executive director, North Carolina Board of Nursing, named Treasurer;
  • Director-at-Large Pamela Autrey, PhD, MBA, MSN, RN, board member, Alabama Board of Nursing, named Area III Director; and
  • Emmaline Woodson, DNP, MS, RN, FRE, deputy director, Maryland Board of Nursing, appointed Director-at-Large.

These individuals will serve until a formal election is conducted at the NCSBN Delegate Assembly, Aug. 3 - 5, 2011, in Indianapolis.

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose members include the boards of nursing in the 50 states, the District of Columbia and four U.S. territories -- American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and the Virgin Islands. There are also seven associate members.

Mission: NCSBN provides education, service and research through collaborative leadership to promote regulatory excellence for patient safety and public protection.
