Can anyone tell us more about this? http://washingtonexaminer.com/news/2...-program-begin

A doctorate nursing program set to begin this fall at the University of Delaware is expected to help ease the nursing shortage by training more people to teach nursing.

The university will become the first of Delaware's six nursing schools to offer a doctorate program.
Interim coordinator Veronica F. Rempusheski says patients will be the direct beneficiaries of the program because more nursing students can be trained as more nurses become qualified to teach.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing says U.S. nursing schools turned away 54,991 applicants in 2009 and a lack of professors was one of the reasons. Only about 16 percent of the nursing schools in the country have doctorate nursing programs with the closest program in Philadelphia.
