Looks like we are gonna have a warm one. In fact, I swear I heard a cricket last night. Anyone else har the dang things yet?
The pool is filling with water - the smoker is getting hot - I'm making homemade BBQ sauce - and potatoe salad - Glass of frosty Iced - T what a better way to spend the day.
God bless all our Fallen heros and those that fall but survived to come home to a very cahnged world than the one they left.

Working today. Another good way to spend the day.
We did the burgers and hot dogs. Nearly burnt the dogs, as a neighbor's dog keeps getting loose (!); seems as though the electric fence ain't doing its' job.

My employer is very bad about not paying holiday pay or overtime pay so I am not expecting anything for working on a federal holiday. I worked eight hours on Thanksgiving last year and they paid me one hour of holiday pay. I was insulted.
sounds like you need a new employer!
Unfortunately easier said than done. This employer is the difference between any income and no income and they know it. Boss had the nerve to send a letter with our last paycheck stating that there will be no pay raises and the reason given, probably just as bogus as ever. Frankly, I am very tired of CNA pay with licensed nurse expectations.
