Was always drawn to healthcare and helping others. Worked initially in the laboratory and soon discovered nursing. Every morning at 5am I'd round collecting phlebotomy samples, drawing blood and saw the nurses doing their thing.
Decided that I wanted more patient contact than waking them up first thing in the morning to do the vampire routine.
Few years later I was a nurse and I've never looked back
