Ours is separate.
I work at a hospital that has kept our CVOR separate from the general OR, but administration is currently pushing to merge the two. Everything they try doesn't seem to work. My opinion is that it is a specialty and should remain separate. Are most other CVORs separate? Does it work? I'd love to hear more input.

I'm renewing my ACLS next week but thought I'd try reviving this thread...
I work at St David's Georgetown Hospital. Our OR consist of four rooms total. So, we don't do CV. Don't let the small size fool you. Very pleased with the updated equipment. Each room already has the built in boom with all the required video equipment for the laparoscopic cases. No more pushing around video carts.
