Discuss 'Prolonging CPR.....'

They have been saying this for years. That's why they came out with AED's so lay people could defibrilate

Working in critical care, I can say that we do way too much resuscitation. Sadly, the public has been conditioned to expect and DEMAND that heroics are done at the end of MOST EVERY life therefore, such is done. From the critical care provider's perspective, often medical battery has occured and we're glad that no "ambulance chasers" are present to record the events. I can definitely say that it's a VERY different world.
