    Burma Bound

    Hello,

I am new to this forum. Thank you for having me.

I am looking at going to Burma and work on a volunteer basis. It is very hard to find information regarding nursing in Burma. Has anyone been there? Or does anyone no any contacts that I could make.

    Thank you in advance

    Steve

I can't recall anyone ever mentioning Burma before. Someone may know something, though. It may take some time, though, so please be patient!

If/when you find out anything, keep us posted?!

Hasn't it been officially called Myanmar since 1989?

It's also pretty awful for human rights, see - http://www.hrw.org/burma

I'm sure they need nursing volunteers, but I do hope you educate yourself, and learn just what you're getting yourself into.

Jespah, some of us still say Bombay instead of Mumbai (much to my friends' dismay).

If there is any onfo out there.... Perhaps a volunteer group?

I did a little Googling - can't vouch for the efficacy of the group, but maybe try this -
