Hi all,
Totally new here just looking for some advice to measure my situation by:
I am looking to move into a nursing career.
I have a B.A. and MBA already.
I just finished the pre-requitsites that would allow me to apply to a Direct Entry BSN or MSN program.
I work full time: have been with a non-health care company for the past 20 years so have just naturally progressed there.
The ultimate plan is to leave the company and go to a Direct Entry program: pro is will be an RN in 15 months. The con is the loss of income =need to support a family so will cause some financial stress.
As I am looking at other options, which I am not sure there are = keep working and get RN license through some type of part time program, which I do not really find and I am not sure that would provide any benefit beyond the financial stress aspect. Also not sure that is possible, as I surf the web through the maze of on-line programs, part time programs, they all seem to be directed at NPs already.
Any life planning thoughts would be welcomed: as a what would you do?
Just looking for a path of homeostasis...
Cheers
