Hi everyone!!!! My name is Lori, I am a late in life career changer, and at 46 began taking classes (lots of pre reqs for someone my age) to get into the nursing (RN) program at our local community college. I got two rejection letters (2011 and 2012) before I finally got my acceptance letter last month. I begin the RN program in late August and couldn't be more excited! I am living proof that you are never too old to pursue your dreams, and if it's your dream, you WON"T take no for an answer! You will just keep trying and improving your GPA and taking as many of the non-NUR courses as you can until they finally let you in! I've gotten A & P I & II out of the way, ITE, HUM elective, HLT elective (Nutrition), PSY courses, CHM, MTH, BIO..... With so much out of the way all I have to take are the core NUR courses. SO EXCITED!
