For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks."
Luke 6:43-45 (NIV)
Thank you for introducing this thread and I appreciate your daily posting of verses from The Holy Bible. Your spiritual discipline is admirable and while I happen to share your Judeo-Christian background, I personally have learned a great deal about the Holy from many wizened Elders from diverse backgrounds and wonder if members reading this thread might not appreciate the invitation to post material from other sources that they value as spiritual.
i am aware of some who do not appreciate this and have their own beliefs. but as long as there is respect between us here then we would still be harmonious in this forum.:)
Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."
- John 6:35
Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead -- since he was about a hundred years old -- and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
Romans 4:18-21 (NIV)

Joshua 24:15
"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Matthew 16:13-16 (NIV)
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion -- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

- 1 John 4:10 (Read all of 1 John 4) New International Version
If wisdom, understanding and knowledge played this great of a role in the creation, how important are they for us as we steward God’s world? Managing the earth and its resources cannot be done in a whimsical fashion. If we want to do make a difference we need to take the time to study our endeavors and learn them well, for God has embedded His knowledge throughout His creation and we are called to search for that knowledge and use it.
Romans 10:17 “Faith comes by hearing and HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.” Isn’t that interesting that God says faith comes by hearing and not by seeing?
That faith comes by hearing the Word of God!
What a way for a book of the Bible to finish! Yet the book of Judges chronicles a time when Israel forsook God and His ways. If you could look at the end of your life, what do you want to say? The decisions that we make now will determine whether history will judge us as following after the Lord and all His ways, or simply doing what we saw fit.
"The decisions that we make now will determine whether history will judge us as following after the Lord and all His ways, or simply doing what we saw fit."
You know there are people on this site that are not Christians but are very good people who make decisions on gut instinct, 50% of the Earth's Population is non-Christian. More wars and death have been perpetrated in the Name of Christianity than any other Faith (though Islam is catching up).
Posting a daily verse is one thing but when you start Proselytizing your going too far

With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.
