does credit info go to travel assignments?

I am an ICU nurse with 11 yrs experience. I work with a travel nursing company and have for many years, in addition to working my staff job. My credit has recently gotten worse and i am wondering if my travel company sends my social security number to clients they may be placing me with allowing them to potentially turn me down for the assignment based on my credit. Anyone have any insight on this?

I remember hearing from a nurse,1 travel company doing a credit check and if it was bad they did not hire that Nurse.... not sure if that was true... what does lousy credit have to do with working anyway?
