I am finishing my first travel assignment at this hospital and thought I would stop in and let y'all know this place is GREAT! I worked float tele/Med surg for six months here in phoenix-glendale area. the hospital is only about a year old, gorgeous all private rooms, all paperless electronic charting, room serviced meals, and very traveler-friendly. i am so happy to have been here as a first time traveler. i don't want to leave! but alas, 6 months is a long time in one place and it is time to move on. the tele floor is 4:1, med surg anywhere from 5-8:1-2(they have team nursing with LPNs passing all the meds).
the only downside i can think of is getting floated to the ER which happened several times which i ended up butting heads with a particular charge nurse there which tried giving me patients i am not supposed to be taking care of (ie ICU pts, etc), but i cleared that up right quick putting my foot down like a good traveler should i guess.
