The hospital I'm at really has a pretty low turnover. we're getting a 3% cost of living raise at the end of Sept. I'm really pretty happy there. Sure there are bad days and days when we could use more staff but we have a good unit manager. I don't know too much about bad shifts but there are people that have to work nights which I think is that bad shift but I had to do that too at one point and I still do a couple per year. In this area of the country we don't have Costco but the same type of store doesn't make ear $17 per hour here. I guess I'm just lucky. Could your girlfriend who isn't happy go someplace else nurses are mobile in their profession.
