    Sign on Bonuses...?

How does the "Sign-on Bonus" work? I have noticed that there are several travel agencies that offer enormous sign-on bonuses but give little information on how to actually get these bonuses. I am seeing this as "Too good to be true".

I recently found an agency in central Florida offering a Sign-on bonus of up to $8000.00. Now, try and actually find more information without being harassed to death every day by the agency. Are these claims for large bonuses true or just bait?

There is also an agency in Texas offering up to $15000.00 to sign-on. What is wrong with this picture?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Sign on Bonuses...?

Is it a permanent position or a travel position offering a bonus like that? With travel, some facilities will offer the sign-on bonus (the most I've seen is $5000 in NM) and it is free (but taxed) money. If the agency is offering the bonus you can bet it is coming from somewhere-(your wage).

If it is a permanent position some facilities will pay for your relocating cost+. Most offer $10,000 to relocate! (Free, but taxed)

Hope this helps out a little,
