    Smile Wanting to say Hi

Just wanting to say hi to all of you fellow nurses. I am a LPN, work in Indiana, and work in LTC. I have since becoming a nurse, 5 years. I would love to work in a hospital, but now not sure if my skills can do the job required. Any info would be appreciated.

Hello & welcome busy-bee. Cat is an LTC nurse and I'd bet she can offer some suggestions.

Hi, Bee! Nice to meet you. Yeah, like Mag said, I work LTC, also; 7 years at the same facility. The way I see it, we LTC'ers utilize many skills that hospital nurses may NOT use; then again, the opposite is true also. If there are any hospitals hiring LPN's where you are, they should take into consideration that you have worked LTC, and help you get up to speed working the hospital floor.

Hope to hear alot from you!
