Mrs. Nurse, welcome & glad you joined us! I look forward to reading many more of your post in the near future.
Hello all in the nursing world. I've been reading for a while now and decided to register. The threads are great, in fact many hit close to home. At present I'm an LPN who's working toward her ADN. I love what I do. Does that mean I'm appreciated for it? NEVER. You can all relate to that. It is my hope to make many friends here and be able to share in this career, the ups and downs which make our lives stressful yet exciting. Too many days I get home from 13 hours on a Med,Surg,Peds floor and ask myself why did I become a nurse. Then the next day when I see the smile of a patient who received the only kindness and attention they've had in a long time from myself, it answers that question. I know many of you feel the same. Nice meeting you all. Look forward to chatting with you.

Hi, Mrs.Nurse! Nice to meet you!
I totally understand what you're saying; when someone is sick, they are scared and take it out somehow. True, nothing means more than that smile and thanks....
