School in OK moving to TX

Hi, my name is Shannon and will be starting an L.P.N program here in Oklahoma on the 15th. My question is this..my husband is currently active duty Army and in 2008 he plans to exit the Army. Will have to take any additional schooling in Texas in order to recieve my L.V.N or will I just have to take their boards??

    Thanks for any input.

Hey, Shannon! Nice to meet you. I doubt you'll need any more schooling. Once you take Boards, you're set until/unless you go on for your RN. Whole new NCLEX there.

If you graduate before your husband gets out, and take Boards in OK, you could always contact TX for licensure. The TX State Boards are listed in the TX Forums.

    Hope this helps!

Cat-Yeah, I will graduate in August '08 the apply for Lisencing here in OK..take boards and such. Then in Feb. '09 we will be more than likely moving to TX.

Best bet then is to apply for licensure when you are going to move/have address. Good luck!
