welcome aboard :-)
Hello, ive been an RN since i passed my boards... well almost exactly a year ago. This is my second career. I feel all the trouble was worth it but there are some serious ups and downs i hope to find answers,support..friends for. Anyway, even if i dont make it as an RN.. on the job.. i feel being an RN is as much of a lifestyle as anything. Like an oath one takes. Hope to be asking and aswering plenty of questions.
sincerely;
Lance
welcome aboard :-)
I wouldn't consider yourself a brand new new, you have the toughest year under your belt. I remember thinking at month 4 of being a nurse "What am I doing here, I hate this, and I have wasted A LOT of $$". Now 6 years later I am so happy I became a nurse. After you get a little experience you can transfer to different areas or different facilties until you find the one for you.
Welcome to the site, Lance! Glad you joined; you will certainly find support here!
One good thing about nursing is that there are so many different jobs one can choose from, so don't despair! And nursing IS a lifestyle. Once a nurse, always a nurse, to me. Oh, by the way, I often hear this line from my husband: Is it my wife, or the nurse talking?
Hope you drop by often! I look forward to many of your posts.
