An associate's degree in nursing will allow you to get pretty much any staff nurse job as an RN, but if you want to work public health or ever do educating or management, you should consider getting your bachelor's degree. A lot of RN's start with their associate's degree, and then do a BSN completion program while they are working as an RN.
