Welcome to the site, karen! Glad to have you with us.

We 'across the pond' have all sorts of weather, so if it's sunshine you want.....we'll have it.

Hope you drop by often and ask questions as needed.

If there are any issues over there you'd like to share with us, please do so!

Seeing as you're from Scotland, you might get a chuckle out of this thread: http://www.ultimatenurse.com/forum/f...arments-26958/

    Hello Karen,

Welcome to the forums. Lots of options out there for places to relocate. If the USA is high on your list, I'd contact the following to see what is involved. It's a lengthy process to come to the US and find work as a nurse. Better to start sooner rather than later.

Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS):"Welcome to the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS). Throughout this website, we are pleased to share with you some of the exciting and rewarding opportunities that await you at CGFNS. We hold strong to the values of excellence, which have sustained CGFNS for almost a quarter of a century. As we enter the new millennium, this is a critical time for the nation, for health professionals and for our organization and its divisions, the International Commission on Healthcare Professions (ICHP), the International Consulting and Educational Service (ICE), and the International Consultants of Delaware, Inc. (ICD). We are privileged to be in the public policy arena, helping to ensure that United States immigration policy is objective and effective."

Oh, and check with the BON of the state you're interested in. Each state has the BON listed under their respective Forum. (And note, there's a UK Nurses Forum, too.)
