Hello from Arkansas

Yep, well, I just stumbled across the place and thought I'd register. I'm a guy from Arkansas, and I'm "considering" going back to pickup the RN credentials.

I've been a part-time paramedic (thinking about retaking the test to get that back), and I'm currently a law enforcement officer. I also used to be a science teacher so I actually have all my prereqs for the RN coursework, and I'm looking at some accelerated RN/BSN programs.

I've seen nurses in action, and I'm ok with the work and advancement opportunities. It's the school part that gets me. I hear it's so grounded in nurse traditions that it probably wouldn't appeal to me. I figured I'd pop on here to do a little investigating.
