I just finished my CNA clinicals, and I am amazed at biased the instructor was. She gave other students credit for things I did. She complimented many of the other students in the class. I think she looked askance at me the entire time. But she never actually witnessed me practicing any of my skills during the clinicals (except for feeding residents in the dining hall). But she seemed to imply that I was not up to par. I was on time every day and worked hard. I also participated a lot during the class portion of the course. One of her "favorite" students slept frequently during class. I am worried about biases of instructors and am unsure now if I want to move forward into nursing school.
